An armed home intruder shouted “Free Palestine” after being arrested by police for breaking into a Los Angeles Jewish home while a family slept inside.
The unidentified armed intruder could be heard screaming “Free Palestine” and “Brown Lives Matter” as police cuffed him.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division responded to the incident at around 5.20 a.m. in the 3000 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, The Daily Mail reported.
One of the homeowners called 911 during the home invasion and said the man had broken in through the door where she was with her husband and children.
“[He said] I’m going to kill you because you are Jewish … Israel kills people,” she told KTLA in a phone interview.

When officers arrived, Key News reported, the suspect was armed with a kitchen knife.
The suspect reportedly entered the rear yard and kicked the door down.
“Based on the investigation at the scene, this incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime,” stated the LAPD.
“He was drunk,” one of the victims said, adding that he hurled anti-Semitic insults.
It may be possible the victims were targeted because they have Jewish symbols on their house.
She added that her husband wears a Jewish Yamaka hat on his way to work every day.

The man was reported half-naked when police arrested him, and his jeans and a belt appeared scattered around the house.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the intrusion ‘a vile act of hate’ in a statement.
“In the wake of the terror and violence inflicted over the previous weeks, this is one of the worst fears of Jewish families across our country – hatred spilling across the threshold, destroying the sense of safety and sanctuary in a home,” the Mayor said.
“We remain steadfast in support of the Jewish people – the people of Los Angeles will not cower to hate.”
“We will respond to it.”
“The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to conduct increased patrols in communities throughout our City, and I call on officials to take action to ensure the person responsible for this heinous act is held fully accountable,” the Mayor added.
“We will always stand together,” Mayor Bass said.
