Alec Baldwin faced criticism over his first Instagram post since it was confirmed he would be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.
The actor left his followers confused and angered by a creepy Instagram caption.
What would have been a sweet photo of his son holding his mother’s shoulders, Baldwin added the caption suggesting his pulling ‘the old let me give you a back rub ploy’ on his mom.
“Imagine being indicted for involuntary manslaughter and the first post you make after the announcement includes a picture of your attention-seeking wife, posed with your young son, and captioned with a sexually suggestive innuendo,” one critic said in response to the picture.
Another wrote, “Does anyone else think this is creepy af with the caption? Pic is sweet. Caption makes it weird.”
A third commenter added, “Dude you need consult your team before you post man this does not help your case.”
Another commenter pointed out that the “back rub ploy is a joke between grownups not mother/son.”

“Sexualizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes,” another user remarked.
Baldwin was recently charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Halyna Hutchins.
The cinematographer was killed after a prop gun went off during rehearsals on the set of the
Western movie in October 2021.
The 64-year-old actor is said to be coming to terms with the charges and focusing on his family.
The film’s head armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, also faces the same charges, and both face a maximum of five years in prison if they are found guilty.
According to Santa Fe’s District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies, the charges will be filed by the end of the month.
“Actor and producer Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will each be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter,” Carmack-Altwies said.
“After a thorough review of the evidence… I have determined that there is sufficient evidence.”
“On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice.”
