Representative Adam Schiff claimed that Donald Trump may not be on the 2024 presidential ballot, claiming the former president “betrayed his oath” under the 14th Amendment.
In a video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, Schiff said: “Donald Trump is currently the leading candidate for president in the Republican party, but he may not even make it on the ballot.”
“Let me see if I can break it down,” Schiff began.
“Under the fourteenth amendment, if you take the oath of office and then betray that oath by engaging in insurrection or rebellion, you’re disqualified from ever holding office again.”
“In Colorado, Republican shave filed suit to keep him off the ballot because he’s disqualified.”
“And you can bet if they’re successful in Colorado, many other states will also seek to disqualify him from even appearing on the presidential ballot,” Schiff said of Trump.
“We’ll see how this plays out,” Schiff concluded.
If anyone betrayed their oath of office, it’s Adam Schiff, since he lied to the American public for years by pushing the Russian collusion hoax.

On Friday, Schiff said he believes that Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden was part of an “evidence-free impeachment proceeding.
“it is such a contrast from the methodical way we went about gathering the evidence in the first impeachment and the seriousness with which we took the responsibility of finding high crimes and misdemeanors to what we see today, which is essentially an evidence-free impeachment proceeding of some kind, and for what?” Schiff said.
