Former President Donald Trump took aim at his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany after she misrepresented his poll numbers during an appearance on Fox News.
Kayleigh McEnany incorrectly reported that Trump was 25 points up on Ron DeSantis when in fact, he was 34 points up in the poll number
This didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed Trump.
“Kayleigh’ Milktoast’ McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on Fox News. I am 34 points up on DeSanctimonious, not 25 up,” Trump wrote.
“While 25 is great, it’s not 34. She knew the number was corrected upwards by the group that did the poll,” Trump added.
“The RINOS & Globalists can have her. FoxNews should only use REAL Stars!!!”
McEnany claimed that polling in Iowa showed Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis was “closing the gap” with voters on Trump, the Hill reported.
While Trump didn’t specify which poll he was referring to, a poll conducted between April 27 and April 30 by Donald Trump’s pollster showed him commanding a 54% sway with Iowa voters compared to DeSantis’ 20%.

That number tracks with a poll, also conducted in April by Victory Insights, which showed the former President earning 54% of the vote, with DeSantis coming in second at 24%. Trump’s term was echoed by Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy on Fox’s “The Ingraham Angle” later.
Appearing to reference Trump’s earlier attack on McEnany, Roy said, “Everything that we’re seeing out of… this deal hatched this weekend is pretty milquetoast, if that word might mean something to you,” Roy stated.
Some Twitter users noted that McEnany has been making veiled jabs at Trump for a while.
“OPINION 🚨: Kayleigh McEnany has been making underhanded digs at Trump for months. Trump should have called her out a long time ago,” one user wrote.
